CHRISTMAS FAMILY NIGHT: This will take place TODAY Sunday, 27th December.  There is no cost and the idea is simply that the hall will be open from 6pm until 9pm when there will be a chance to relax as a parish community.  There will be simple games and entertainment.  You are invited to bring along your own leftover food and drink.

EACHa: The Committee would like to thank you for the items donated as Christmas Gifts for Children.  Thank you

MASS IN THE JAIL:  This takes place each Thursday at 7pm.  If you are interested in going, please contact Danny Murray on 01294 468990 as you need clearance before you go.  It is a rewarding experience and a chance to meet some of the prisoners over a cup of coffee.

HOGMANAY: At the end of the year, we look back over the year sometimes with sadness and at other times with hope.  Come to the Hour of Prayer this Thursday from 6pm which will conclude with Mass at 7pm.  An opportunity to ask God’s blessing for the year ahead.  On New Year’s Day itself, Mass will be a little later at 11am.

RCIA: The next meeting will take place on Monday, 4th January at 7pm in the Chapel House.

Mens’ Group: The next Gathering will take place on Sunday, 10th January at 7pm.

DISCUSSION QUESTION: There is a town in England that has banned mention of Christ at this time.  So the question this week is ‘How do we keep Christ in Christmas?  How can we put the message of Christmas across to our young people?’  Please go onto our Parish website www.stmatthews-church.co.uk and join in our discussion.

CHRISTMAS CRIB:  Donations at the Crib will be given to the St. Margaret of Scotland Adoption Society.
