DISCUSSION QUESTION: Bishop Moran’s letter for Peace Sunday (on the reverse of the bulletin) calls on congregations to make practical steps to protect the environment, even becoming Eco-congregations.  So the debate question on the Parish website is: What does ecological awareness, reducing CO2 emissions and the green economy truly mean?  Is it over-hype or a chance to work for justice?  Please go onto our Parish website www.stmatthews-church.co.uk and join in our discussion.

Weekday masses: Please note that there will be a Thursday evening Mass at 7pm from now on.

CHRISTMAS CRIB:  Donations at the Crib will be given to the St. Margaret of Scotland Adoption Society.

YEAR OF PRIESTS: In this year Pope Benedict has asked us to pray for our own priests.  Each week we will pray for the priests of our Diocese.  This week we pray for God’s blessing on Bishop Maurice Taylor, our former Bishop..
