Haiti Appeal: This week’s St. Vincent de Paul box will be given over to the Haiti Disaster Appeal. Please be generous YOUTH HUB MEETING: The next meeting to take forward this very important Parish youth project will take place in the Committee Room TODAY Sunday, 24th January after morning Mass. UNITY SERVICE: To celebrate the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, there will a United worship for all Kilmarnock Churches TODAY Sunday, 24th January at 2.30pm in St. Andrew’s & St. Marnock’s Church. ROSARY GROUP: This group meets every Tuesday at 7pm in the Cry Chapel. All are welcome to come and pray together. 20/40 GROUP: The next meeting of this group will be THIS Tuesday, 26th January at 7pm in the Chapel House. It is a prayer and reflection group for those between the ages of 20 & 40 though some, like Fr. Martin sneak in beyond those ages. Speak to Fr. Martin about it if you are interested. MEN’S SPIRITUALITY GROUP: The next meeting will be THIS Thursday, 28th January at 7pm in the Chapel House. PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL: The next meeting will take place in the Committee Room on Sunday, 31st January at 12 Noon. RCIA: The next meeting will take place on Monday, 1st February at 7pm in the Church House. HOMELESS LUNCH: The next lunch will be on Sunday, 7th February returning to the 1st Sunday of the month. BAPTISM TALK: Fr. Martin will give a talk to all parents who wish their children to be baptised in the near future. It will take place on Thursday, 4th February. Please see Fr. Martin to enrol your child for Baptism.. Social committee: At the recent meeting of the Pastoral Council, it was agreed that such a Social Committee would be a good idea to organise events and enliven that aspect of Parish life. Anyone interested in being part of such a group should see Fr. Martin . The first meeting of the group will be on Tuesday, 2nd February at 7pm in the Chapel House. YOUTH AT MASS: Some young people from St. Joseph’s Academy will be providing music at Mass next Saturday night. EDUCATION SUNDAY: Will take place on 6th & 7th February. There will be an input at Masses that weekend from St. Andrew’s Primary and St. Joseph’s Academy. LOURDES HOSPITALITE: Have organised Mass with Anointing of the Sick and their AGM at St. Margaret’s Cathedral, Ayr on Sunday, 14th February at 3pm. SMITHSTONE HOUSE: A poster is displayed at the back of Church detailing the spring events at Smithstone House, Kilwinning. DISCUSSION QUESTION: After a lot of discussion in the press concerning the Ordinary form of Mass and the Latin Mass, the discussion question is: “What are your memories of the Latin Mass?” and “What are the improvements you see since the changes appeared in the way Mass is celebrated?”. If you have no memory of the Latin Mass, “Does a Mass in Latin appeal to you?”
