Haiti Appeal:         The St. Vincent de Paul Conference would like to thank everyone who gave so  generously in response to the Haiti appeal.  The collection raised £883.66.  The St. Vincent de Paul has a presence in Haiti and this money will be sent direct to Haiti via National Council Scotland to be used where it is needed most.

EDUCATION SUNDAY: Will take place THIS weekend.  There will be an input at the Vigil Mass from St. Andrew’s Primary and at the Sunday Mass from St. Joseph’s Academy.  Pupils and staff from ach school will speak about the importance of their school in the overall mission of the Church; they will also lead the prayers and readings.

YOUTH HUB MEETING:  This group will meet TODAY after Sunday Mass.  Many thanks to all who have agreed to continue their financial support for this project.  We pray that the enthusiasm of all will reap great benefits for our young people.

HOMELESS LUNCH: The next lunch will be TODAY Sunday, 7th February at 12.45pm.  Please come along to share this lunch.

CHURCH STUDENTS APPEAL:  There will be a collection box available next Sunday (13th/ 14th February).  Please take an envelope today and return it next weekend.  If you are a taxpayer, you can Gift Aid your donation.  This collection will help pay for the Diocesan students for the priesthood.  Please be generous

FINANCE GROUP: This will take place NEXT Sunday, 14th February after Sunday Mass

LOURDES HOSPITALITE: Have organised Mass with Anointing of the Sick and their AGM at St. Margaret’s Cathedral, Ayr on Sunday, 14th February at 3pm.

RCIA: The next meeting for this group will be Monday, 15th February at 7pm in the Church House.  The five candidates this year will be formally enrolled in the ‘Rite of Election’ Mass at St. Margaret’s Cathedral, Ayr on Sunday 21st February to which everyone is invited.

ASH WEDNESDAY:  This takes place on Wednesday, 17th February.  There will be two Masses (10am & 7pm) with Distribution of Ashes.

Enrolment Ceremony: The children who are preparing for the sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion will be enrolled as candidates during the Sunday Mass of 21st February.  This is a special moment in which we pray for our children and their families.

ECUADOR TRUST:  If anyone wishes to make a Standing Order to this charity, there are forms available at the back of Church.  These should be filled in and given to your own bank.

DISCUSSION QUESTION: Today we celebrate Education Sunday in which we highlight the work of our Catholic Schools.  Today’s question is therefore: What are the benefits of our Catholic School system?  To our children?  To family life?  To the mission of the Church? To Society in general?

BIBLE ALIVE: The next booklet for Lent is now available at the back of Church.

MARRIAGE:  If you have already arranged a wedding with Fr. Boland or if you are thinking of getting married, please see Fr. Martin to confirm arrangements. Also, if there are any couples who wish to be involved in preparing couples for marriage, please see Fr. Martin.

YEAR OF PRIESTS: In this special year for priests, we pray for God’s blessing on the priests of our own Diocese.  Today we pray for Father Graeme Bell, Parish Priest of St. John’s, Cumnock, St. Patrick’s, Auchinleck, St. Thomas’, Muirkirk and St. Joseph’s, Catrine.
